Claire Morin (France/Belgium)

Born and raised in Paris, I started my studies with a bachelor’s in History at the Université Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne. During my third year, I had the chance to spend one semester at the University of Stockholm for an Erasmus exchange. Passionate about culture, in particular history and archaeology (I participated in several archaeological excavations in Alsace) and following my Erasmus experience, I decided I wanted to continue my studies in an international context and focus on Europe. Hence, I applied to Euroculture.
I spent my first and last semesters in Göttingen and the second in Udine, Italy. I made the best out of my third semester by doing the “research track” in Mexico City and by doing a short internship at the Ligue des droits de l’Homme in Paris, a French human rights NGO.
My experience in Mexico, which I had not planned when I first applied, was determinant to decide in which field I wanted to pursue my studies. I am currently doing another Master of European Studies (MAES) at the KU Leuven, in Belgium, focusing on European external relations and in particular EU-Latin America relations.

Euroculture experience
Euroculture was such an enriching experience. Not only you have the chance to meet people with different background and coming from all over the world, but you can also discover up to three different countries in two years and experience new academic systems. The IP is the highlight of the programme. You can meet the whole cohort, debate and share your ideas. Learning from all these encounters and experiences, you are able to adapt easily to any environment, a precious skill to work in international organisations, for instance.
The flexibility of the MA Euroculture is also a plus. All the partner universities have points of focus. You can make the best of it and deepen your interests or discover something new or both! Moreover, wherever you go, the Euroculture staff always has your back and can help you find your path during the programme and beyond.
