• Work Package 2 – Governance
WP2 will analyze the forms of steering and organizing cooperation in the field of landscape-related AEM based on the identification of cooperative framework conditions that promote or inhibit the landscape-related implementation of AEM. By participating in KOOPERATIV, actors contribute to the conservation and creation of habitats and the promotion of biodiversity in the agricultural landscape. The implementation of joint measures promotes cooperation between actors from agriculture, nature conservation and administration and thus promotes joint thinking and action as well as the exchange of experience. However, cooperative approaches are linked to framework conditions that enable and strengthen community cooperation. WP2 will analyze these conditions, which are conducive or inhibiting to the cooperative implementation of AEM, using participatory methods. The focus will be on (a) the participating actors, whose views and experiences will be explored in the course of the project. The knowledge gained will form a basis for educating land users about the possibilities and opportunities for cooperative biodiversity measures. Based on an analysis of cooperative cooperation and information transfer, (b) insights will be gained that can initiate the establishment of local bridge organizations to promote nature-compatible regional development in other communities. In order to classify the findings in a supra-regional context, (c) the motivation and decision-making factors as well as barriers of nature conservation, agricultural and administrative actors in Lower Saxony regarding cooperative AUM are surveyed.
