Content

The lecture deals with the principles of Internet economics from a theoretical and application-oriented point of view. The characteristics of digital goods, networks and network effects, the essential economic principles of the music industry, the foundations of value creation in the music industry, particularly possible pricing strategies, as well as strategic and organizational aspects of off-shoring software development are presented. As part of the exercise, the contents of the lecture will be deepened with the help of case studies and exercises.

Study Goals

The students should get to know and understand the principles of internet economics from a theoretical and application-oriented perspective.
