India Days 2010

The India Days at the Georg-August-Universität Göttingen took place from Wednesday, 24 Nov. 2010 to Sunday, 28 Nov. 2010.

The diverse programme on „India: Research – Study – Culture“ offered events for students, scholars and the interested public. The India Days are funded by the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD), the Federal Ministry for Education and Research (BMBF), and the “Sparkasse Göttingen” and are supported by a number of co-operation partners.

Highlight of the India Days was the opening of the Centre for Modern Indian Studies (CeMIS) on Friday, 26 Nov. 2010. Apart from presentations by distinguished guests from Indian research organizations and representatives from research institutions, public administration and funding agencies, Prof. Jan Breman (Amsterdam) gave the key-note speech.
