SCIENTIFIC INTERESTS AND GOALS

I am quite fascinated by the complex dynamic regulatory mechanisms acting as switch to start the precise protein requirement particularly in cells like neurons. I wish to study the function and dynamics of RNA-protein complexes and epigenetic modifications that selectively and reversibly regulate these processes in response to receptor signaling. Thoroughly understanding the molecular basis of gene regulation and its application to wide ranging areas including genetic disorders may be my focal point of research. However, I want to explore the diverse biological areas of study during my Master’s at Göttingen.
