SCIENTIFIC INTERESTS AND GOALS

I am fascinated by the fact that the disruption of certain biological mechanisms in the brain matches with certain changes in affect, perception, and cognition. Finding a link between a particular neural system and a certain behavior or percept, especially a higher order function, is what I would like to do for the rest of my life. So far, my scientific work has been on behavioral level, but I would like to explore different approaches in my graduate studies.
