LIFT-OFF Start-up Competition - Awarded Teams 2023
On June 23rd, the award ceremony of LIFT-OFF took place in the Alte Mensa at Wilhelmsplatz. The participating teams, who presented their start-up ideas in a short pitch in front of about 170 guests, received cash and non-cash prizes worth a total of more than € 30000. These are the prize winners 2023:
Category Foundation Potential :
1. Place: Schwab und Meta Farming Products
Promote biodiversity, conserve resources, pay fair – Schwab and Meta plan to sell sustainably produced agricultural products from Albania under its own brand.
2. Place: Baby Led Weaning
Wholesome, solid baby food free from additives such as sugar, salt, flavorings and colorings – suitable for on-the-go and as easy to handle as a jar.
Audience Award: CircleCube
Queues just to hand in your returnable cup? The vending machine of the same name developed by CircleCube is compact, inexpensive and fast. Goodbye throwaway plastic!
Category Science:
1. Place: Histomography
The third dimension of tissue examination! The intuitive laboratory system delivers 3D tissue data at the touch of a button.
2. Place: Magnikeen
Magnikeen aims to make cancer imaging cheaper, more accurate, and faster with a revolutionary MRI contrast agent process – based on the body's own substances.

Promotes beekeeping as an alternative livelihood for women in Indonesian agriculture through workshops and a professional distribution platform.

Life Science: GliTTher
GliTTher combines personalized therapy targeting cancer-initiating cells with standard brain tumor therapy.
Nachhaltige Landnutzung: Algaespace
Cost-effective microalgae production increases the competitiveness of this superfood and makes a valuable contribution to improving world nutrition.

RETROSPECT: AWARD CEREMONY 2022
LIFT-OFF goes virtual! The award ceremony of the sixth LIFT-OFF start-up competition of the University of Göttingen took place on 07 July 2022 at 18.00 in the "Alte Mensa" of the University of Göttingen.
The competition is aimed at people interested in founding a company as well as active founders. In addition to student founders, the LIFT-OFF start-up competition also offers scientists a platform to further develop their projects. In total, prize money of more than 35,000 euros was distributed in 2022.
