I am pursuing a Ph.D. on the interpretation of customary international law (working title: The Hermeneutics of the Unwritten) under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Dr. h.c. Andreas L. Paulus. My primary research interests include general international law, legal history in its european and international dimensions, constitutional law, philosophy of language, and international relations.
From 2018 to 2025, I studied law at Georg-August University of Goettingen, specializing in international and european public law. Alongside my studies, I worked as a student assistant for Prof. Dr. Inge Hanewinkel, Chair of Roman Law, Civil Law, and Modern History of Private Law (2020-2021). Since 2021, I have been working at Prof. Paulus’s chair, initially as a student assistant and, since April 2025, as a research assistant. In 2021, I participated in the Philip C. Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition and coached the Goettingen team in 2022, 2023, and 2025. Since 2026, I serve as a volunteer judge for the competition at both the national and international levels.
In addition, I am organizing the 2026 Young Public Law Conference in Goettingen and am politically active. In 2025, I co-founded the Forum für Wehrhafte Demokratie e.V. (Forum for Resilient Democracy) with Viola von Cramon, formerly MEP, among others—an initiative aimed at strengthening democratic and constitutional resilience.
