The afternoon sessions will be dedicated to practical exercises that can be done in groups or individually and in class or at home.

This course gives an overview over some core principles of Statistics. It is best suited for beginners and those who would like to refresh their knowledge about Statistics for their PhD. The course will not cover any advanced topics for statistical modeling.

- Type of Experiments
- Descriptive statistics and forms of data visualizations
- Statistical Inference:
- Basics about Statistical Inference
- Point Estimates, Confidence Intervals
- Hypothesis Testing for 1, 2 and more Samples (z-test, t-test, ANOVA, nonparametric tests)
- Basics about Regression Analysis
- Basics about Bayesian Inference
Credits:
Participants will receive a certificate of attendance if requested. Moreover, there is the option of receiving 1 Credit if submitting all exercises and an additional homework of 3-4 pages.
