The development process consisted of four phases: First, an overall concept was created that defined the module structure, its integration into the curriculum, and the transfer strategy. In this step, requirements were gathered through interviews and workshops with stakeholders. In a second phase, teaching and learning materials were created as Open Educational Resources (OER) and technically implemented on a learning platform. In the subsequent pilot phase, master’s students in Business Informatics at the University of Paderborn participated in the course. Evaluation was conducted through user tests and surveys to implement identified areas for improvement. Finally, the module was incorporated into the University of Paderborn’s course offerings. Its adoption at Georg-August University of Göttingen is planned for the near future. The course materials are already publicly available on the ORCA.nrw and twillo portals.
Successful completion of the project #myfirstresearchpaper
The #myfirstresearchpaper project has come to an end after two years of work. The goal was to develop a digital learning module to support the transformation of outstanding student work into academic publications.
The project was led by Prof. Dr. Dennis Kundisch (University of Paderborn) and Prof. Dr. Christian Bartelheimer (Georg-August University of Göttingen). The “Innovation in Higher Education” Foundation funded the project with approximately 100,000 euros as part of the “Freiraum 2023” program. The project was also supported by the association “Die Wirtschaftsinformatik.”
