As part of the course, students refine their research proposals and choose an appropriate research method. A central component of the colloquium is the presentation and discussion of the research proposal, during which students receive feedback on the research question, theoretical foundation, structure, and method of their thesis. In addition, the colloquium provides a platform to discuss current challenges during the thesis process and to exchange ideas on academic work and different research methods. By presenting interim results and engaging in discussions with supervisors and fellow students, participants continuously reflect on and further develop their research process.
Regular participation in the colloquium and the presentation of the individual research project are mandatory components of the supervision process.
