Bio
Serge Nanda Silatsa is a Researcher whose interdisciplinary work explores the intersection of forest policy, international political economy, and global environmental governance. His work focuses on understanding how international political and economic dynamics shape forest governance and environmental decision-making, with the aim of advancing evidence-based policies for sustainable development. He holds an Engineer degree in Forestry, a MSc. in Natural Resource Management, and a Master of International Relations from Muhammadiyah University of Yogyakarta in Indonesia. He recently earned a PhD in Political Science, specialising in International Political Economy. As a Research Assistant at the Chair of Forest Policy and Land Use Governance, his current doctoral research develops the concept of foreign forest policy as a distinct sub-field of inquiry, using China as an empirical case to examine how major powers shape forest governance in other territories through their foreign policy instruments and international engagement.
