Pia Lübke
I am a computer scientist specialising in measurement and automation technology within the fields of environmental and geo sciences. With practical experience in process modelling and software product development, I am driven by the aim of measuring environmental parameters through physical quantities, linking the data obtained, and thereby gaining new knowledge and understanding of processes. I am fascinated by the idea of using this knowledge for modelling and identifying practical applications in the respective fields.
Research interests
I am currently investigating, as part of the DFG project WiCoTrAir, the well-known but not yet fully understood relationship between near-surface air pressure fluctuations and wind characteristics over forests. Using cost-effective measurement technology and modelling approaches, the aim is to gain a better understanding of the underlying causes of this relationship and to describe it in general.
Methodologically, my work involves embedded software development , measurement electronics, laboratory and field experiments, as well as tools for data analysis, modelling and visualisation.
