Location analysis and customer profile of the "Badeparadies Eiswiese" in Göttingen

Project objectives:
The "Badeparadies Eiswiese" is one of the biggest (more than 600,000 visitors per year) and due to its variety one of the most attractive swimming pools in the south of Lower Saxony and the north of Thuringia and Hesse. The Göttinger Sport und Freizeit GmbH & Co. KG commissioned the workgroup for regional market research (Direction: Dr. H.-D. von Frieling) to analyze the demand structur and to compile a SWOT analysis in order to optimize attrictiveness and offers of the "Badeparadies Eiswiese". The objectives of the project were to identify the sectoral and regional market structure and market potentials and to gather image, attractiveness, and suggestions for improvements using data of a visitor survey conducted in autumn 2005.
