About Us

We are comitted to promoting scholarly exchange across academic hierarchies, with a particualr emphasis on highlighting the achievments and capabilities of early-career scholars of international law. We pursue this mission both within Germany and beyond the German-speaking world. Our aim is to critically examine and, where possible, to overcome academic hierarchies through a pluralistic, intersectional and power-critical process.

Following its establistmeht as a formal association in 2023, the AjV has continuosly expanded its activities. In particular, it now hosts monthly jour fixes and semi-annual research colloquia, providing both its members and intersted others with regular opportunities for scholarly exchange, collaboration and the forging of lasting academic connections.
