Application deadlines and admissions requirements for all degree programs


The admission requirement for the bachelor's degree is a general or subject-related higher education entrance qualification. A bachelor’s degree in forestry or a closely related field of study is required for admission to the master’s degree. On this page you will find further information on the application deadlines and admission requirements as well as further information on the application procedure.

  • Application: online
  • Admission 1st semester: restricted admission (application to the university)
  • Admission 2nd to 6th semester: no admission (with corresponding credit transfer from previous studies)

  • Language requirements before the start of the course (proof): good to very good English language skills

  • Start of studies: summer and winter semester
  • Application: online (application to the faculty)

  • Application period summer semester: November 1st to December 15th
  • Application period for the winter semester: May 6th to June 17th

  • At the application date, either a completed Bachelor's degree or at least 150 ECTS credits must be proven. In the case of provisional admission, you can submit your Bachelor's certificate to the Examinations Office by 15.11. (winter semester).

  • Please note:
    There is no admission to the Erasmus Mundus Sustainable Forest and Nature Management programme in the academic year 2023.
