New Chair for "Financial Governance"

Dear students,

As of April 1st, Prof. Dr. Benedikt Downar has assumed the position of the new EY Foundation Professorship in Financial Governance at our faculty. The professorship is dedicated to research and teaching, with a particular focus on topics related to sustainability reporting and the interplay of sustainability information with accounting, auditing, and corporate governance.

During the summer semester, Prof. Downar will offer the following modules:

• Module B.WIWI-BWL.0102: Seminar on the Practice of Sustainability Reporting
• Module M.WIWI-BWL.0163: Methods of Empirical Accounting and Capital Market Research
• Module M.WIWI-BWL.0164: Seminar on International Financial Governance

For interested bachelor's and master's students, an information session will take place on Tuesday, April 11, 2023, at 2:00 PM (Room Oec 0.167). Registration for all modules will be possible through the department's website after the information session. Attendance at the information session is not required.
