Curriculum Vitae
From 2004 to 2009, Annika Hübl studied German philology (focusing on linguistics) and media and cinema studies at the University of Mainz. Since October 2009, she has been a research assistant for Linguistics at the Department of German Philology in Göttingen. Supervised by Prof. Dr. Markus Steinbach and Prof. Dr. Anke Holler, she writes her PhD on “A new perspective on free indirect discourse – theoretical and empirical evidence from German and German Sign Language (DGS)”. For this, she investigates role shift and constructed action in DGS on the one hand and free indirect discourse in German on the other hand, thus phenomena from both language modalities (signed and spoken languages). Her research concentrates on the linguistic foundations of these non-canonical narrative styles. She motivates her assumptions using elicited and experimental data. Based on this, she wants to develop a cross-modal theoretical analysis covering these narrative styles.
Annika Hübl is a member of the Graduate School of Humanities Göttingen (GSGG) and the German Linguistic Society (DGfS).
