Project duration: January 2006 - December 2009.

The three-year project has enabled the development of a core curriculum together with the corresponding teaching and study material for a hitherto unique, innovative multidisciplinary European-Chinese MA with Double Degree in Intercultural German Studies and English Studies. Target groups are graduates (BA degree) in German Studies and English Studies from the Peoples' Republic of China, the UK and Germany. Apart from the possibility of further academic qualification, the educational profile of a graduate from the program will be that of a broadly educated, interculturally and linguistically competent cultural mediator, able to work in cultural, scientific, educational or political institutions and organisations or business enterprises in the European-Asian labour market. Cultural studies and intercultural teaching material on linguistics and literature studies as well as methodology/didactics have been developed for the modules in the program.
