Lab Experience

Experience with some techniques used in proteomics, immunology and molecular biology such as 2D gel electrophoresis, differential gel electrophoresis, western blotting, protein purification, enzyme assays, sub-celluluar fractionation, fluorescence microscopy, cloning, etc. I have also pursued training in microbiology from a medical college and another training in 'radiation in biology and medicine'. I have also completed an add-on course in "Bioinformatics and Computational Biology".

SCIENTIFIC INTERESTS AND GOALS

Biological phenomenon at the molecular level unravel the small wonders of life! I am interesting in gaining a deep insight into the molecular processes of life that help us understand the basis of many physiological processes. More importantly, I am interested in learning any deviations from the normal processes that can help us identify the underlying causes of several pathophysiological conditions. An understanding of this can help us in identifying new drug targets to combat diseases. I shall be working to the best of my efforts in the field of molecular biology to identify the regulatory mechanisms and new drug targets to contribute some novelties to the highly established field of molecular biology.
