Production of fiberboards (LDF, MDF, HDF) on a pilot scale using dry, semi-dry, or wet processes
For the production of fiberboards with low (LDF), medium (MDF), and high bulk densities (HDF), we have a pilot plant in our technical center that enables fully automatic gluing, drying, and fleece formation. These fiberboards can be manufactured under standard industrial conditions using dry, semi-dry, or wet processes. Both conventional binders and fibers as well as natural binders and fiber materials from innovative raw materials can be used to manufacture the composite materials.
Production of three-layer chipboard on a laboratory and pilot scale under standard industrial manufacturing parameters
For the production of single- and three-layer chipboard on a pilot scale, we have a plant in our technical center that allows the gluing and spreading of the chip material to be carried out under standard industrial conditions. The chip material is mixed with the binder in a mixer using the blender process and then spread onto the forming belt via a top and middle layer bunker to form single- or three-layer chipboard. All conventional synthetic resins and natural binders available on the market can be used for the production of chipboard. The suitability of conventional chip material or chip material from other raw materials for the production of these wood-based materials can also be tested on this plant.
Production of insulation materials on a laboratory and pilot scale using the wet process under standard industrial manufacturing conditions
Insulation materials are manufactured in our technical center using the conventional wet process. This involves producing fiber fleeces from a fiber suspension consisting of fiber material, water, binding agents, and, if necessary, additives with the aid of a vacuum. To dry the fiber fleeces, we use both the conventional drying method (convection drying) and a novel method based on microwave technology on a pilot scale. All possible fiber materials and binders can also be tested on a pilot scale in the production of insulation materials.
