Curriculum Vitae
Maria Chiara is a doctoral student and research assistant at the chair of socio-ecological interactions in agricultural systems at the University of Göttingen since October 2023.
She did her Bachelor’s in Forestry and Environmental Technologies at the University of Padua (Italy). She did her Master’s in Forestry System Transformation at the University for Sustainable Development of Eberswalde (HNEE, Germany).


Forschungsschwerpunkt

Research Specialisations
Maria Chiara has worked on Biosphere Reserves and their designation processes; with her Bachelor’s thesis she focused on determining their socio-economical effect in two case studies in Morocco and Ethiopia. During her Master’s she specialized in human-nature relationships by completing the training as a Regenerative Development Practitioner and by cooperating in the planning processes of a tiny forest. Her Master’s thesis focused on applying Regenerative Development to Sustainable Forestry with a case study in Aljezur (Portugal).
Most recently her focus has shifted towards Mediterranean socio ecological interactions, especially in cultural landscapes.
