I am a student of German Philology and History at the Georg-August-University in Göttingen since the winter semester 2014/15. From the beginning of April, 2016 I am working as a student assistant for the Linguistische Berichte, from August 2016 as a student assistant for Dr. Daniele Panizza at the Graduate School of Humanities in Göttingen. Since April 2017 I am also a part of the sign language team as a student assistant.
I had my first contact with sign language in a seminar about 'grammaticalization' taught by Prof. Dr. Markus Steinbach in which we talked a lot about grammaticalization in sign language too. After my exchange Semester in Vienna in summer 2016 I visited the DGS-1 class and also Prof. Dr. Annika Herrman's lecture "Sign Language: Language and Modality". Here, I learnt more about the interesting linguistic domains of the German Sign Language. I am looking forward to extend this knowledge during my work for the Experimental Sign Language Lab.
