...there is a place where you can work undisturbed only on your founding idea. WELCOME TO THE STARTUPSPACE AT THE HISTORICAL OBSERVATORY
The StartupSpace premises are funded and co-financed by the European Union. The StartupSpace is open to students, graduates and employees of the University of Göttingen to realize their start-up plans. The infrastructure can be used free of charge around the clock and is intended to reduce the risks of founding a company and create optimal conditions for start-ups. The support offered by the Transfer & Startup Hub includes modern offices, meeting rooms, co-working spaces in the StartupSpace, personal discussions, events and networking opportunities with other founders and entrepreneurs from the region. A special focus is placed on female entrepreneurship and internationalization.
The StartupSpace and the support provided by the Transfer & Startup Hub team are intended to reduce the risks of founding a company and create optimal conditions for startups.
OFFERS OF THE TRANSFER & STARTUP HUB As a founder or team in the pre-startup phase, you can use the co-working space of the StartupSpace and, subject to availability, individual offices free of charge. There are regular events on topics relevant to the start-up process, such as business model development or teamwork. You can also bring in your own wishes and we try to invite experts for this. You can network with other founders - either on-site at the StartupSpace or in virtual meetings and thus get into conversation with experienced founders from the region. Would you like feedback and suggestions from successful founders? If possible, we will be happy to put you in touch with contacts from our mentor network. If you want to create a prototype for your product idea first, you can apply for funding for this from our fund. For challenges that cannot be solved through our counseling, mentors or network, it is sometimes helpful to make use of professional coaching. You can also apply for funding for this. Together with the mentors Anna and Martin, we were able to further develop our business model and acquire an NBank start-up grant.
We were given a place in the office of the StartupSpace, we met interesting founders, and we participated in or spoke at events around the topic of founding. At the end of the term, we even won the LIFT-OFF start-up competition of the University of Göttingen.
In the meantime, we have completed product development, collected 100,000 followers on Instagram, were accepted into the Life Science Accelerator Program, and founded Inkster GmbH. The (free!) pre-incubator program has contributed significantly to many of our successes.
