WELCOME TO THE STARTUPSPACE GÖTTINGEN

The premises of the StartupSpace are used together by the Transfer & Startup Hub of the University of Göttingen, the Gesellschaft für Wirtschaftsförderung und Stadtentwicklung Göttingen mbH (GWG) and the SNIC Life Science Inkubator. The areas used by the Transfer & Startup Hub are open to students, graduates and employees of the University of Göttingen for the realization of their start-up projects.

The infrastructure can be used free of charge around the clock and offers optimal conditions for founders. The university's start-up teams have access to offices, meeting rooms, co-working spaces and event space in the StartupSpace, and the Transfer & Startup Hub team supports the founders in personal meetings, workshops and events. After the start-up, the GWG and SNIC Incubator team is available as a point of contact. Networking opportunities with other founders, established startups and companies from the region also further liven up the location.

The ERDF project "Startup Spaces of the Transfer & Startup Hub University of Göttingen", which was launched in April 2024, provides founders with a total of 14 workspaces. The start-up spaces are intended to establish an interface of the start-up ecosystem between the region and the university and make a significant contribution to the start-up culture. With the focus on female entrepreneurship and intercultural/international founders, two target groups are also addressed in particular that are still underrepresented and will make the local start-up system more diverse. The ERDF project is co-financed by the European Union and the state of Lower Saxony.
