Research Area: Organic Synthesis

Our research group is focused on the design of practical synthetic routes to molecules of interest. We are specifically interested in:

• Development of new organic reactions and methods, including the design of new ligands and reagents
• Rational design of new (organo)catalysts through careful mechanistic analysis
• Asymmetric catalysis
• Application of the developed methods on the synthesis of biologically active products and carbon rich materials
• Modification of organic substrates through late stage functionalization strategies
