Proper Names: Philosophical and Linguistic Perspectives (3 and 4 September 2011)

This workshop brought together philosophers and linguists that are interested into the semantic analysis of proper names. There has been lot of discussions about this tricky issue in philosophy and linguistics, but in our opinion the interchange between both subjects on this topic has not been as intense as desired. We wanted to initiate a more intense interchange between philosophers and linguistics concerning this topic with the workshop that took place on 3 and 4 September 2011.

The workshop was initiated by Prof. Dr. Christian Beyer (Associate 2010/11, Seminar for Philosophy, University of Göttingen) und Dr. Dolf Rami (University of Göttingen / King's College London).
