Research at the chair of agricultural policy


Research of the chair focuses on interdependencies between agricultural policy on the one hand and the the structure and competitiveness of agricultulture on the other. Among the most important topics are the agricultural policy of Germany and the EU and the consequences of the reform pressure affecting these policies since a decade. Another focus is the transformation of agriculture in the countries belonging formerly to the Soviet Union and consultancy in agricultural policy in these countries. Furthermore, the emirical analysis of agricultural markets and policy represents a central area of reserach in which, among others, econometric methods for the analysis of price transmission, market integration and trade flows are applied and developed.
