Talk "Redefining Rape"
Prof. Samita Sen has been talking about "Redefining Rape: Does it matter in India Today?" at Göttingen University on the 20th of June, 2013.
Prof. Sen debated sexualised violence in modern India and its political and social repercussions based on the most recent and much discussed incidents of rape. Prof. Sen is director and professor of History at the School of Women’s Studies, Jadavpur University, and a visiting professor at CeMIS in the summer semester 2013.
