Biodiversität, Makroökologie und Biogeographie
Welcome to the Biodiversity, Macroecology and Biogeography group!
Our research focuses on unraveling the mechanisms that cause spatial gradients in biodiversity, from local to global scales. We are interested in the different facets of biodiversity, including species richness, endemism, and functional and phylogenetic diversity. We also use our knowledge of biodiversity patterns to identify conservation priorities and conflicts between land-use and biodiversity. In our research, we combine fieldwork, meta-studies, and ecoinformatics.
