Dr. Tobias Jakobi, Director of Studies, Institute of Political Science, University of Göttingen delivered a talk on "The Governance of German Marine Protected Areas" on 7th September 2022 at the Department of Political Science, Savitribai Phule Pune University. Then on 8th September, Dr. Jakobi gave a talk on "Studying Social Sciences in Göttingen". He was accompanied by Dr. Elizabeth Songate, Country Officer-Göttingen India Office who interacted with participants about study and research in Göttingen.

Established on the 4th October 2008, the main objective of the India Office is to facilitate, coordinate and support the academic exchange activities and cooperation projects with partner institutions in India. The office serves as a focal point for the implementation of strategic measures, networking, meetings, and discussions for faculty, students, alumni and representatives from the university, funding organizations, research labs, and industry.
