Dr. Virginie Clément-Schatlo

Project Leader, GliTTher

Dr. Virginie Clément-Schatlo is an experienced scientist and entrepreneur. After completing her PhD and working as a post-doc at University of Geneva, she set up her own research group in cooperation with a neurosurgeon. In 2009, Dr. Clément-Schatlo co-founded Stemergie Biotechnology SA and worked as Chief Scientific Officer until 2013. She subsequently held various other positions in the company, including Chairman of the Board of Directors.
Since early 2022, Dr. Clément-Schatlo has been the project leader of GliTTher. GliTTher’s technology platform focuses on the development of biomarkers and therapeutic drug candidates targeting cancer initiating cells for the treatment of glioblastoma. In this project, Dr. Clément-Schatlo collaborates with the University Medical Center Göttingen and is supported by the Life Science Factory and the high-tech incubator program at Life Science Valley.
