Working title of PhD thesis: “Using individual plants from segregating maize landrace populations for genome-wide association studies and genomic prediction”
In the near future, falling costs associated with genotyping and phenotyping will barely limit number of candidates in plant breeding; this development leads to a groundbreaking new way of looking at the use of phenotypic and genetic data from large numbers of individual plants for selection and breeding.

First supervisor of the PhD project was until February 2023 Tim Beissinger.
