Dr. Frank Sode

Frank Sode studied Philosophy, German Literature and German Linguistics at the Universities of Mainz and Tübingen. He received his doctoral degree in General Linguistics from the Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin for his thesis on the semantics and pragmatics of German Konjunktiv in indirect speech. Since January 2015 he is a member of the Junior Research Group "Theoretical Linguistics" at the Courant Research Centre "Text structures". His main research interest is the expression of perspectivity in natural language. His research areas include modality and verbal mood, logophoricity, the semantics of propositional attitudes and free indirect speech.
