Dr. Daniele Panizza

My research interests range from semantic and pragmatic theory, to language processing investigation through different methodologies (eye tracking while reading, eye tracking - visual world paradigm, ERP while reading, ERP sentence-picture verification) on adults and children, to corpus analysis and language modelling (parsing models, nat. lang. processing with Python). My main experimental works investigated scalar implicature processing and interpretation, numeral processing and interpretation in adults and children and semantic violations.
A side project that I am carrying over is the development of an open source toolkit for Python to perform: a) stimuli presentation for behavioral, EEG and eye tracking studies b) eye tracking while reading data and statistical analysis c) visual world data and statistical analysis (please, check the website for the latest update).
