Dr. Ramana was guest scientist in the research group of Prof. Meyer from October 2010 to February 2011. He aims to bring together excellence in catalysis and organic synthesis for discovering efficient and economic tools for small molecule synthesis. The basic objective is to develop new reactions and/or protocols that are capable of building biologically active small-molecules by integrating the catalyst and substrate designs. The focus will be more on the use of dinuclear metal complexes and appropriate substrate(s) that can undergo sequential reaction cascade.
