Research and Teaching

The successful candidate is expected to develop and maintain a vigorous research programme in modern experimental condensed matter physics. The candidate should have an outstanding and internationally recognized re¬search profile and should complement the thriving cutting-edge solid state physics research activities in the Faculty.
The Faculty of Physics offers a stimulating re¬search and teaching environment with excellent on-site infrastructure, several collaborative research initiatives, and a large number of research groups in the area of solid-state and materials physics. We expect a strong commitment to collaboration on the Göttingen Campus, in particular through the Collaborative Research Center (CRC) 1073.
The successful candidate is expected to contribute to teaching in various topical areas of experimental physics, including both basic and specialized physics courses.
