Helmholtz-Juniorprofessorship in the specific area of Theoretical Physics

The successful applicant is expected to do research in the fields of

− Phenomenology of elementary particles and
− Physics at the Terascale.

The objectives of research are to supplement the current and future range of research topics of the Experimental Particle Physics group in the Department of Physics in the field of elementary particle physics at the Terascale (physics of the top quark, heavy gauge bosons, search for Higgs bosons, and b-physics at LHC and ILC) and be closely integrated into the Helmholtz Alliance on „Physics at the Terascale“. The successful candidate is expected to take part in teaching the subject of theoretical physics (Bachelors' and Masters' courses) as well as the specialization subject of particle physics. Active participation in committees of academic self administration is expected.
