Vakuum-Vertikalteleskop (VVT) am Institut für Astrophysik Göttingen

The Vacuum Vertical Telescope (VVT) is an optical installation which is integrated into the physics building. It is used for high-resolution spectroscopy of the Sun and bright stares within the Master research lab courses in physics.

The light is fed via a siderostat on the roof of the building consisting of two rotable and inclinable plane mirrors which can be protected by a folding dome.
