Management and Boards

On this website, you will find the most important links to the University’s management and boards. This includes the Presidential Board that represents the University externally, as well as coordinating internal collaboration. It also drafts concepts for the development of the University and conducts the day-to-day business of the Georg-August-Universität Göttingen Public Law Foundation – the carrier organisation of the University.
Here, you will also find information on the Senate, which makes resolutions concerning the University’s basic rules and regulations, unless they fall into the purview of the faculties themselves. Moreover, the Senate takes decisions on both the development planning and equality plan in agreement with the Presidential Board and takes a policy stance on all affairs of self-administration that are of fundamental importance.
