Individual coaching
Individual coaching is offered to all female doctoral and postdoctoral researchers. It is a promising way to ensure guidance and advice to questions related to the professional development. The coach can support the women being coached towards identifying and achieving specific (professional) goals. These include, among others, career planning, performance management and personal effectiveness, identifying strengths and weaknesses, assessing personal characteristics and needs, getting through times of crises, finding a work-life balance, interpersonal communication, dealing with conflict, building an effective team, etc. A list of potential coaches is available at the coordination office.

Mentoring

In addition to coaching, GlobalFood also takes part in the Short-term International Mentorship Programme (STIM) of the University of Göttingen.
STIM offers female GlobalFood members the opportunity to gain valuable experience abroad at an early point in their career and to connect with an internationally renowned personality as a mentor. Mentees will be able to expand their international network in order to ideally prepare themselves for their later career path. Usually, the mentorship exceeds the stay abroad so that the mentees can continue to benefit from their mentors' great experience as an established researcher. Ideally, the mentor would also visit the mentee in Göttingen.
