Subject description
The bachelor's programme for two subjects provides the student with fundamental scientific knowledge and knowledge of methods in two subjects, with 66 credits (C) each. Students must additionally complete an area of professionalisation (36 C) pertaining to the occupational field and a scientific bachelor's thesis (12 C) in one subject. The subject of physics can be combined with German, English, French, Latin, Mathematics, Computer Sciences, Spanish, Chemistry and Biology. Special permission must be granted by the Lower Saxony Ministry of Culture for other combinations, in order to be admitted to the master's programme in education. The bachelor's programme in physics for two subjects with a teaching profile conveys basic knowledge in the different areas of classical and modern physics that are relevant for teaching at the Gymnasium. It gives insight into current areas of research as well as a didactical and practice-oriented education.
