The next deadline is 16 January 2017 - Send us your projects!
This competition calls on all students (except PhD students) who, aside from their studies, have interesting ideas for a project that they would like to realise either individually or as a team. The project should relate to a scope wider than the degree subject. Students from all university faculties have the opportunity to realise creative and unconventional projects. The projects may be carried out with partners from other institutions or business, as well as by involving international cooperation. Engagement with socially-relevant issues is desirable. The project may also involve travel.
The programme is made possible by the AKB-Stiftung (Charitable Foundation of the Carl-Ernst Büchting Family), which has provided support enabling the fund for realising such projects to be established.

Selection and sponsorship
The amount of funding requested depends on the project and should not exceed 5,000 Euros. The funds are earmarked for the project in question. Sponsorship may be awarded either to individual students or to teams of students. The award of sponsorship will be decided in the same semester and the winning project concepts will then be published.
An independent body (with student representation) will decide on the selection of projects. Besides the quality and creativity of the project the selection procedure will also take into account social aspects and take consideration of diversity. This programme will not sponsor any business start-ups. The judges decision is final; there is no legal right of appealing against the decision of the body. This competition is hold twice a year.
