50 years ago Prof. em. Jürgen Bloech began his career in Göttingen

1970 Prof. em. Dr. Dr. h.c. Jürgen Bloech began his career at the Faculty of Business and Economics. He celebrated his 50th anniversary in October within the framework of the colloquium "Digital Production and Logistics" in the “Alte Mensa” at Wilhelmsplatz. The colloquium was hosted by the Chair of Production and Logistics (headed by Prof. Dr. Matthias Klumpp), which emerged from Prof. Bloech's Chair at the former Institute for Economic Production and Investment Research. In his speech "Digital Production and Logistics: What is different in 2020 than in 1970?", Prof. Bloech quoted from the writings of Konrad Zuse on a self-replicating machine (written in the 1980s) - which is still a current research question in digital production today.

Prof. Klumpp as well as former doctoral candidates such as Prof. Ronald Bogaschewsky from Würzburg University also paid tribute to Prof. Bloech's research and teaching, partly in video messages. The event was rounded off with an academic discussion and the doctoral colloquium by the Chair of Production and Logistics in the afternoon.

The Faculty of Business and Economics congratulates on the anniversary!
