Anne Wienholz

From 2008 to 2014, Anne Wienholz studied Linguistics (focusing on Psycholinguistics in her Master studies) at the University of Leipzig. During her work as student assistant at the Max-Planck-Institute for Human Cognitive and Brain Sciences, she gained first experiences in experimental methods used in linguistics. Since September 2014, she is a research assistant in the Linguistics Department at the Department of German Philology and also at the Free Floater Research Group “Language Acquisition” at the Georg-Elias-Müller-Institute for Psychology. She is doing her PhD as part of the DFG funded project “Discourse Referents in Space - Anaphora Resolution in German Sign Language”. In her dissertation, under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Nivedita Mani and Prof. Dr. Markus Steinbach, she investigates the use of pronouns and their resolution in German Sign Language with the help of experimental methods.
