Credit conversion for an internship for master's degree students

Credit conversion for an internship for master's degree students in applied statistics; development economics; finance, accounting, and taxes; global business; history of global markets; international economics; management; marketing and e-business; taxation; management; business information systems; business education and human resource development

In the above mentioned Master's programmes, with the exception of a few Double Degree programmes, credits can be awarded under certain conditions for internships.
The conditions for recognizing internships for credit are outlined in the document "Rules for the completion of the course M.WIWI-WB.1000 (internship)" (download/ in German).

You must submit several documents to the Faculty of Business and Economics Dean's Office or Student Advisory Office both before and after the internship:

  • 1. Before the internship:
An application to have the internship recognized (download) is due approximately six weeks before the internship begins. It must be submitted to the Faculty of Business and Economics Student Advisory Office along with the host institution's internship programme, which should outline the content of the internship as well as a rough timeline.
  • 2. After the internship:
After completing the internship, submit the approved application form with an internship report or review of your work from your host institution. Your contact person in the host institution has to sign the report before you hand it in.
The specific details and requirements can be found in the document "Rules for the completion of the course M.WIWI-WB.1000 (internship)".

Please read the requirements carefully. If all the conditions are met, you will be able to receive six credits for the course "M.WIWI-WB.1000 (Praktikum)", which does not include a grade.
