Ombuds Office for Good Scientific Practice
The University is actively committed to the prevention of scientific misconduct and offers advice and investigation in cases of suspicion. The Ombuds Office for Good Scientific Practice serves as main contact point for all members of the University regarding questions and conflicts linked to good scientific practice.
In particular, you may turn to the Ombuds Office if
- you are unsure about the rules of good scientific practice or in need of advice how to apply them in a specific situation,
- you want to report a suspected breach of the rules of good scientific practice and get more information about possible steps in the ombuds procedure
- you are involved in a conflict relating to matters of good scientific practice and in need of confidential advice and/or conflict mediation.
The head of office is obliged to strict confidentiality. Only with the explicit consent of the informing person the Ombuds Office establishes contact with the ombudspersons or, for reasons of competence, passes the informing person's concern on to other advisory services at the University.
All academic staff of the University Medical Center can directly contact the Ombudspersons or the Ombuds Committee of the Medical Faculty.
