Ombuds Office for Good Research Practice

The University is actively committed to the prevention of misconduct in research and offers counselling and investigation in suspected cases of research misconduct. The Ombuds Office for Good Research Practice serves as main contact point for all members of the University regarding questions and conflicts linked to good research practice.The office is obliged to strict confidentiality.

In particular, you may turn to the Ombuds Office if


  • you are unsure about the rules of good research practice or in need of advice how to apply them in a specific situation,
  • you want to report a suspected breach of the rules of good research practice and get more information about possible steps in the ombuds procedure
  • you are involved in a conflict relating to matters of good research practice and in need of confidential advice and/or conflict mediation.
