The research of the Chair of Interorganizational Information Systems focuses on the targeted use of information systems and digital innovations. This requires understanding of their influence on interactions of organizations and on individuals.

This is reflected in three research areas:

(1) Corporate strategies in digital markets and strategies of digital platforms
How should digital business models and platforms be designed? How can companies react to changing technological environments, competitors and customer requirements and adapt their business model accordingly?

(2) Impact of digital business models and digital platforms on the customer
How do customers interact with digital interfaces, products, services or platforms and how do they need to be designed or strategically positioned?

(3) Effect of digitisation on the provision of services and especially on employees
How is the working environment changing due to increasing digitalization and how can the environment and interactions be shaped in the future?
