Teaching Award 2022/23

To encourage teachers in their commitment to good university teaching, the University awards the Teaching Prize.

Good teaching and knowledge transfer have a high priority at the university. Students can use their nominations to make clear which courses they particularly benefit from and which particularly support them in their studies.

With the start of the nomination phase, all students are able to submit suggestions. These then go to the study committees for an initial evaluation and are forwarded to the central teaching award jury. The jury, which is made up of three university lecturers and students from all faculties, finally decides on the award winners.

The award categories

In the academic year 2022/23, the teaching award will be offered in the following categories:

  • Best event (< 50 participants)
  • Best large event (> 50 participants)

Courses from the winter semester 2022/23 and the summer semester 2023 can be nominated. The teaching award is supported by Sparkasse Göttingen and the prize is endowed with 2,500 € each.

In addition, the special award for commitment to teaching will be awarded at the suggestion of the AStA. More detailed information on the nomination can be found on the AStA website.
