University Annual Teaching Award
Send us your nominations for the 2024/25 Teaching Award, the Special Award for “AI in Teaching and Examinations,” and the Student Special Award by November 2, 2025.
To encourage faculty members in their commitment to good university teaching, Georg August University has been awarding a Teaching Award since 2021. In addition, the special student award for outstanding commitment and, for the first time in 2025, the special award for "AI in Teaching and Examinations" will be presented.
Good teaching and knowledge transfer are highly valued at the university. Through their suggestions, students can highlight which courses they particularly benefit from and which ones are especially helpful in their studies.
With the start of the nomination phase, all students can submit suggestions. These are then sent to the study committees for an initial evaluation and forwarded to a central teaching award jury. The jury, which is appointed by the central Senate Commission for Teaching and Studies and consists of three university lecturers and three students from different faculties, ultimately determines the award winners. Courses from the winter semester 2024/25 and the summer semester 2025 can be nominated.
