Research Interests

I am interested in understanding how plants traits are linked to the ecosystem and how plant species will cope with anthropological changes. During millions of years plants shaped their forms to adapt to new conditions. On marine islands, however, we see on several clades a completely different pattern compared to their mainland sister clades. On my PhD research I will explore on how plant functional trait assembled in a global scale. My main aim is to add new basic knowledge in the emerging subdiscipline of Functional Island Biogeography.
